Attractions and AmenitiesThe highlight of the cultural calendar in Orient is the annual Fiesta of Nuestra Señora de Lluc, which literally translates into English as “Our Lady of Lluc”.Essentially this is a religious festival that takes place on a pre-determined Saturday in June each year, and commences immediately after the weekly Mass. In common with other fiestas on the island, the event centres around traditional dances, music and parades, however, due to the very size of the village by Mallorcan standards, this is still quite a low key event. The other “busy” of the week is the Saturday produce market in the nearby village of Bunyola. In keeping with the other traditional markets on the area, it tends to start quite early at around 8:00am and finishes around 2:00pm, before the heat of the day really sets in.
