Part of the Salles Group of hotels, the 4 star Hotel Marina Portals is situated around 500 metres from the beach,
in the quiet resort of Portals Nous on the south west coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 10km west
of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and a short walk from the centre of the resort,
where you will find a selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Built in 1999 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2002, the modern low rise Hotel Marina Portals has a total of 136 guest rooms, including 119 standard twin rooms, 15 singles and a further 2 Junior Suites, all of which are built over 6 floors, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror, along with a direct dial telephone, complimentary high speed WiFi internet access, a satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, all rooms are also provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week. Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, laundry and medical services, a games room, public internet terminals with high speed WiFi access available in selected areas, and both lounge and pool bars. For business guests, the Hotel Marina Portals also offers the use of 2 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, with the capacity to seat a maximum of 120 people, both of which are fully equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Guests staying at the Hotel Marina Portals also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Spa and Wellness Centre, which features an additional indoor heated swimming pool with cardiovascular gymnasium, sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and massage treatments.
