The 2 star Hotel Marina has an enviable location overlooking the the sea front promenade
in the quiet resort of Port de Sóller on the rugged west coast of Majorca. The hotel is
approximately 35km north west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International
airport, and a few steps from the centre of the resort where you will find a small selection
of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife. Built in 1934 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2005, the traditional Hotel Marina has a total of 95 guest rooms, including 65 standard twin rooms and a further 30 singles, which are distributed between two 4 storey buildings, and set amidst almost 200m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have either sea or mountain views. In addition to the above features, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week. As part of the 2005 refurbishment, the Hotel Marina is now also able to offer guests the flexibility of both one bedroom self catering apartments and studio flats. In addition to the above features, the modern apartments come equipped with an open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings and refrigerator, along with a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, satellite television, direct dial telephone and balcony with mountain views. Guest facilities on offer includes a reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international dishes and vegetarian menus, laundry and medical services, a games room, public internet terminals and a comfortable lounge bar with satellite television. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. The Hotel Marina also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment, with live music on the seafront terrace several times each week.
