Built in 1991 and partly refurbished during 2001, the Fontanellas Playas has a total of 186 guest rooms that are built over 4 floors amidst 1,000m2 of well kept gardens and sun terraces. Most of the rooms at the hotel have either a full or partial sea view, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom, air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box and either a terrace or balcony.

Guest facilities include a spacious 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services and luggage storage room, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and lounge bar. Sporting and leisure facilities on the complex include an outdoor swimming pool with sun terraces, loungers and parasols, gymnasium, sauna, two tennis court and a multi-sports activity pitch for football and volleyball etc. The Hotel Fontanellas Playas also provides a seasonal programme of entertainment with frequent live music and folklore shows.
