Attractions and AmenitiesIn keeping with most of the traditional Mallorcan villages, Saturday morning is time of the weekly fruit and produce market, which in Bunyola is held in the town's main square. It usually starts off at around 8am and begins to close around 2pm as the traders leave for an afternoon siesta. The residents of Bunyola are also very proud of the two annual fiestas that take place in the town each year. The first takes place at the height of the summer, on and around the 5th of August, in celebration of “Our Lady of les Neus”, and then is closely followed on the 21st of September with the fiesta is recognition of the towns patron saint “Sant Mateu”. Although both events are essentially religious in origin, they inevitable today involve a lot of drinking, singing and dancing.
