Built in 1989 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2001, the modern low rise Aparthotel Club Cala Barca has a total of 779 guest rooms, including a choice of both one and two bedroom self catering apartments and studio flats, which distributed between 25 three storey buildings and set amidst almost 72,500m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with an open plan kitchenette and a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, satellite television with music channels, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the Barca Trencada cove. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, along with a games room, an air conditioned a la carte restaurant with Italian specialties, a snack bar, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, public internet terminals, a supermarket, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with separate children's pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, tennis court, guided cycling tours, plus three 15-minute pony rides in the ring.

The Aparthotel Club Cala Barca also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the Iberostar Group's high standards and overall customer satisfaction, the Aparthotel Club Cala Barca has been awarded the internationally recognised Spanish Tourism Quality Institute ´Q´ quality mark which is only granted to establishments which meet the highest standards of continuous improvement in all services.
